Context
The peripartum period is a key phase to prepare for calving and future lactation. Dry-off management represents a major technical and economic challenge. In this context, one strategy involves reducing the dietary cation-anion difference (DCAD) to ensure a successful dry-off.
Ammonium chloride is a widely used solution in livestock farming with a strong negative DCAD effect, but it presents challenges in terms of handling and palatability.
Product features
Nega Baca is an ammonium chloride-based solution enhanced by our VSTAR Technologies vectorization expertise.
This vectorization makes it possible to exploit the full potential of the active ingredient and obtain a product that is more palatable to animals and less irritating during handling for operators in feed mills.
Benefits
- Improved palatability through vectorization. No feed sorting, supporting optimized intake
- Easier handling in feed mills: optimized particle size and flowability for homogeneous incorporation into the feed
- Enhanced operator safety: reduced dustiness and limited inhalation and irritating contact
- Negative DCAD value: -13,200 meq/kg
VSTAR Technologies®
Drawing on its galenic expertise, Mixscience has developed an innovative technology, VSTAR technology, which, in the case of Nega Baca, makes it possible to vectorize ammonium chloride, in order to facilitate its use and improve palatability.
