Context
The control plan is a key component in feed mill’s operations. It ensures the quality of raw materials on delivery and guarantees the compliance of finished products throughout the manufacturing process. It therefore contributes to consistent performance in livestock farming, traceability, and ultimately the confidence of all stakeholders in the industry. However, essential as the control plan may be, its day-to-day implementation can be complex and time-consuming for the feed manufacturer: adhering to schedules, organizing sampling, preparing reports, and interpreting results all require time and resources.

Key features
The Mixscience formulator assists feed manufacturers in developing various annual control plans (raw materials, finished products, undesirable substances, etc.).
Each parameter (number of samples, analytical profiles, schedule) is carefully considered with the goal of ensuring the quality of the finished product while optimizing the cost of testing.
The Flexi’Lab user’s workload is reduced. At the beginning of the year, Mixscience enters the control plans into Flexi’Lab. Then, month by month, the user simply needs to collect the samples indicated by Flexi’Lab and print the pre-filled reports.
The request forms are intended for Mixscience’s partner laboratories, which specialize in animal nutrition and are highly efficient. The feed manufacturer benefits from preferential and competitive rates.
The results report generated by Flexi’Lab specifies the sample’s compliance status for each analyzed criterion. This is made possible thanks to the referencing performed by Flexi’Lab and the implementation of automated data transfers: each analytical result can therefore be compared to the theoretical value derived from the formulation software (nutritional value of the raw material or finished product). The tool is user-friendly, multilingual, and easy to access: the user logs in with a username and password.
