Calculate nutritional values for forage
Feed manufacturers face multiple, sometimes conflicting challenges. They must balance economic competitiveness and zootechnical performance along with growing demands for sustainability, animal welfare, and food safety. The quality of raw materials, nutritional innovation, and cost control are at the heart of these challenges. Against this backdrop, formulation becomes a strategic lever for feed millers.
Ensure performance and optimize costs
To achieve the expected performance in livestock farming, Mixscience’s formulation expertise relies on two essential pillars: in-depth knowledge of raw materials and additives, captured into a precise formulation matrix, and continuous adjustment of parameters based on the data collected and the animals’ needs.
Beyond this expertise, Mixscience also supports nutritionists in developing their skills through close monitoring and targeted training.
Mixscience also helps structure internal processes. Coordination between formulation, procurement, quality control, supply chains, and the factory is enhanced, which in turn ensures the reliability of the information used and the compliance of animal feed.
Finally, formulation becomes a competitive advantage: better use of internal and external data, adjustment of formulation constraints, reduction of unnecessary safety margins, and optimization of available raw materials… With Mixscience’s formulation expertise, performance and cost control go hand in hand.
Integrated formulation expertise
Our formulation matrix incorporates robust predictive equations derived from regularly updated in vitro (Mixscience Research Center) and in vivo (Innolab) trials. The Mixscience database contains over 18,000 raw materials and more than 2,000 nutrients—including many specialized ones—to meet animal needs with accuracy and precision and to address societal challenges.
We support our partners with a team of experienced and versatile formulators, as well as direct and back-office technical support from engineers specializing in specific animal species, R&D teams, and data scientists.
Drawing on the experience gained across more than 40 Avril plants, Mixscience has developed a unique organizational model. This is evidenced by the “Feed Meetings,” the “-€1 Methodology,” and the optimization of formulation interfaces.
Our digital tools facilitate data management, secure processes, and enhance the formulator’s expertise: Flexi’Lab and Flexi’Farm for analysis management, Flexi’Val and Flexi’Fodder for optimizing raw materials and forages, and Flexi’Feed for simplified formula optimization.
