Two Days Dedicated to Protein Challenges in the Poultry Industry

Designed as a collaborative forum, the event offered a valuable opportunity to share expertise, compare field practices and co‑develop solutions that will support the long‑term performance of the poultry sector across West Africa.

Strengthening Partnerships and Shared Ambitions

Participants from Mali, Burkina Faso, Senegal, Togo, Cameroon and Ivory Coast came together to share experiences, challenges and perspectives in a warm, open environment. The ambition was clear: to provide practical, actionable insights to help improve farm performance, while keeping animal health and welfare, product quality and environmental responsibility at the centre of the discussion.

Beyond the technical programme, the event is a unique opportunity to deepen collaboration existing relationships with our clients and welcome new stakeholders, deepen existing relationships and reinforce a collective momentum driven by innovation and sustainable development.

2026 Focus: Unlocking the value of protein in layer nutrition

This year’s theme centred on optimising layer nutrition through better utilisation of soybean, a strategic raw material widely available across the African continent and essential to the region’s poultry value chain.

Throughout the sessions, our teams shared their latest insights and recommendations to help express the full zootechnical potential of the animals. The discussions explored several key performance drivers, including:

  • Improving the number of eggs produced,
  • Optimising egg size,
  • Enhancing shell quality,
  • Egg yolk coloration,
  • Supporting growth and overall animal health.

Together, these factors play a decisive role in strengthening farm competitiveness, securing production volumes and improving the quality of eggs destined for local markets.

Expert Partners for a 360° programme

Two key partners also contributed to broadening the scope of the seminar, bringing a more comprehensive and integrated perspective to the discussions:

  • CEVA, whose expertise in animal health provided valuable insights into health management and biosecurity
  • SOPRODA, specialist in livestock equipment shared practical know‑how on environmental control and housing conditions, including water access and dynamic building systems
